Sebuah Ilustrasi Cinta Allah

February is the month that we generally turn our minds toward thoughts of love. Februari adalah bulan yang biasanya kita mengubah pikiran kita menuju pikiran-pikiran cinta. We express our love to others, and yet it is only because of God's love toward us that we can know how to love Him and one another. To lay the foundation for what we are about to consider we need to understand that we are looking at a change in leadership of the nation of Israel. It was the custom for new kings to destroy any of the household of the previous leadership in order to prevent any conflicts from arising.   1. 1. Jonathan and David were the closest of friends. Jonathan dan David adalah teman-teman terdekat.
  2. 2. They were more like brothers who grew up together. Mereka lebih seperti saudara yang tumbuh bersama.
  3. 3. Jonathan protected David and literally saved his life. Jonathan dilindungi David dan harfiah menyelamatkan nyawanya. cf 1Sa. cf 1Sa. 19:1-2 19:1-2
  4. 4. They were bound to one another by a covenant of love. Mereka terikat satu sama lain dengan perjanjian cinta. cf 1Sa. cf 1Sa. 20:42 20:42

    a. a. It was the voluntary impulse of a kind and merciful heart. Itu adalah dorongan sukarela dari jenis dan jantung belas kasihan.
    b. b. God always takes the first step toward man's redemption. Allah selalu mengambil langkah pertama menuju penebusan manusia.
    c. c. He so loved the world that He gave His Son. Dia begitu mengasihi dunia sehingga Ia telah mengaruniakan Anak-Nya.
    a. a. Mephibosheth was undeserving of this love. Mefiboset adalah tidak layak cinta ini.
    b. b. David offered his love to an enemy. David menawarkan cintanya untuk musuh.
    c. c. God's love for the lost is a result of His grace. kasih Tuhan untuk hilang adalah hasil dari kasih karunia-Nya.
    d. d. Not one of us deserve the love that God gives to us. Tak satu dari kita pantas kasih Tuhan untuk kita.
    a. a. David was willing to give what was his that he might show kindness to Jonathan's son. Daud bersedia memberikan apa bahwa ia mungkin menunjukkan kebaikan untuk anak Jonathan.
    b. b. We see that same self-sacrificing love in Jesus' willingness to go to Calvary that our sins might be forgiven. Kita melihat bahwa cinta mengorbankan diri sama dalam kesediaan Yesus untuk pergi ke Kalvari bahwa dosa-dosa kita bisa diampuni.

II. II. Note the Condition of Mephibosheth. Perhatikan Kondisi Mefiboset.

  1. 1. Mephibosheth was hiding from the king. Mefiboset bersembunyi dari raja.
  2. 2. His heart filled with fear that the new king would call for his execution. Hatinya dipenuhi dengan rasa takut bahwa raja baru akan menelepon untuk eksekusi.
  3. 3. He was unaware of the king's love that was to be extended toward him. Dia menyadari cinta raja itu sudah bisa diperpanjang ke arahnya.
  4. 4. Many of those who do not know the love of God are afraid of Him. Banyak dari mereka yang tidak tahu kasih Allah takut kepada-Nya.
  5. 5. Like Adam, they are hiding from their best friend. Seperti Adam, mereka bersembunyi dari sahabat mereka.
  1. 1. Mephibosheth was "In the house of Machir (sold), the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar (without pasture)". Mefiboset adalah "Di rumah Makhir (dijual), bin Amiel, di Lodebar (tanpa rumput)".
  2. 2. Once he was part of Saul's royal family, but now his father and grandfather had been killed and there was a new king. Begitu ia adalah bagian dari keluarga kerajaan Saul, tetapi sekarang ayah dan kakeknya telah dibunuh dan ada seorang raja baru.

  4. 4. We cannot walk right before the Lord because we were damaged by the fall...we inherited the nature of sin. Kita tidak bisa berjalan tepat sebelum Tuhan karena kami rusak oleh musim gugur ... kita mewarisi sifat dosa.
  5. 5. Without Christ we are helpless to walk upright...there is none righteous, no not one...we have all have gone astray...we have come short of the glory of God. Tanpa Kristus kita tidak berdaya untuk berjalan tegak ... tidak ada yang benar, tidak ada tidak satu ... kita semua telah tersesat ... kita telah datang kemuliaan Allah.

III. III. Note Mephibosheth's Salvation. Catatan Salvation Mefiboset's.

  1. 1. David sought for Mephibosheth...Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. David dicari untuk Mefiboset ... Yesus datang untuk mencari dan menyelamatkan yang hilang.
  2. 2. He sent his servant to find him and bring him...Jesus said, "As the Father hath sent me, so send I you." Ia menyuruh hambanya untuk mencari dia dan membawanya ... Yesus berkata, "Seperti Bapa mengutus Aku, demikian Aku mengutus kamu."
  3. 3. This is an invitation that is all of grace...he certainly didn't deserve David's kindness. Ini merupakan undangan yang semua kasih karunia ... dia tentu tidak pantas kebaikan Daud.
  1. 1. He could have refused to come, but he really had no where to go. Dia bisa saja menolak untuk datang, tapi ia benar-benar tidak pergi ke mana.

  1. 1. He believed the message...the king wanted to show kindness toward him. Dia percaya pesan ... raja ingin menunjukkan kebaikan ke arahnya.
  2. 2. He humbled himself before the king and said, "What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?" Dia merendahkan dirinya hadapan raja dan berkata, "Apa yang hamba-Mu, supaya engkau hendak melihat atas seperti anjing mati seperti aku?" v8 v8
  3. 3. He found that he was accepted not on the basis of who he was, but because of another, his father Jonathan. Ia menemukan bahwa ia diterima tidak atas dasar siapa dia, tetapi karena orang lain, ayahnya Jonathan.
  4. 4. When we receive God's blessings it is certainly not because we deserve it...but it is because of Christ. Ketika kita menerima berkat-berkat Allah itu pasti bukan karena kita layak mendapatkannya ... tapi itu karena Kristus.
  5. 5. He was adopted, made a part of the new royal family! Dia diadopsi, menjadi bagian dari keluarga kerajaan baru! v11 v11
  6. 6. He received a new home...he was now a resident of the palace. Ia menerima rumah baru ... dia sekarang penduduk istana.
  7. 7. He received a great inheritance. Ia menerima warisan yang besar. v9-10 V9-10
  8. 8. He now sat at the king's table and enjoyed his fellowship. Dia sekarang duduk di meja raja dan menikmati persekutuan-Nya.

What a wonderful illustration of God's love to us. Apa ilustrasi indah kasih Allah kepada kita. He cares for us, He sent His Son to die in our place, He calls for us to accept His invitation and be born again...to become part of His family. Ia yang memelihara kita, Dia mengutus Anak-Nya untuk mati menggantikan kita, Dia memanggil kita untuk menerima undangan-Nya dan dilahirkan kembali ... untuk menjadi bagian dari keluarga-Nya. When we do, our lives will change just like Mephibosheth's did. Ketika kita lakukan, hidup kita akan berubah sama seperti Mefiboset's lakukan. Are you tired of living without Christ? Apakah Anda lelah hidup tanpa Kristus? Why not accept the love of God and trust Christ as your savior today? Mengapa tidak menerima kasih Allah dan percaya Kristus sebagai Juru Selamat Anda hari ini?

Christian, are we sharing the love of God with those who need to hear? Kristen, adalah kita berbagi kasih Tuhan dengan mereka yang membutuhkan untuk mendengar? Many are hiding in loneliness and desperation thinking that there is no hope for them. Banyak bersembunyi di kesepian dan putus asa berpikir bahwa tidak ada harapan bagi mereka. We can introduce them to the Blessed Hope! Kita bisa memperkenalkan mereka ke Harapan Mahakudus! We can tell them of the love of God that we have received through Christ.
